Cowboys offence explodes against Atlanta

Everyone expected points to be put up when the Cowboys faced Atlanta and it did not disappoint. The Cowboys offense is one of the most potent in the NFL and on Sunday they showed why.

Scoring 40 points is a huge effort and in what the manner in how they did it. Dak spray the ball around at will. After a shaky start the Boys got rolling in the second half out scoring the Falcons 30-10.

Dak Prescott showed why he deserves his money in an impressive performance, but he was not alone. There were great efforts all over the field. From Amari Cooper and Ceedee Lamb who both went over 100 yards with Lamb becoming the second youngest player in Cowboys history with a 100 plus receiving yards in one of his first two games.

Tight end Dalton Schultz stepped up in a huge way for Black Jarwin as he was a major factor in the pass game with 9 catches for 88 yards. To go with this the Cowboys had two undrafted tackles on their offensive line, one on which was a rookie and they managed to protect Dak who was only sacked once which is a great effort

Now let us talk about Prescott. He had himself a game, throwing for 450 yards and rushing for 3 TD’s as he became the first player in the Super Bowl era with 300 pass yards and 3 rush TD’s in a game. He tied Troy Aikman for the second most games with 300 plus pass yards in Cowboy history with 13.

Overall, the Cowboys offense exploded. 570 total yards for the game, they averaged 7.0 yards a play, Dak went 34/47 for 450 and Zeke who looks back to his best has 89 yards on 22 carries. Dallas went 53% on third down too as they blew away Atlanta in the second half.

Everyone knows how potent this offence can be, but stopping it is another thing entirely.
